His research focus for the last 15 years is graft transmissible diseases in perennial fruit crops. Currently,
he studies citrus diseases mainly, CTV and HLB using molecular approaches. The application of HTS and bioinformatics has been one of the cornerstones of his research group’s activities where they used this technology to study host-pathogen interactions as well as for the development of HTS-based or conventional detection assays for pests and diseases.
