Short Bio

Dr Davina Saccaggi is an acarologist and entomologist with a special interest in plant-feeding mites. Her research has covered a broad range of topics, including taxonomy, molecular biology, ecology, invasion science, biosecurity, statistical modelling and pest management. Her current projects include the taxonomy and distribution of flat mites, and population dynamics and management of spider mites and thrips. She coordinates the CRI IPM research program focussed on “Other Pests”, which incorporates psyllids, thrips, mites, mealybugs and scales, among others.
